James Maroney is a lifelong Milford resident, educator, small-business owner, Since 2019, he has served as a State Senator proudly representing Connecticut’s 14th District: Milford, Orange, and parts of West Haven and Woodbridge.
Since taking office in 2019, James has built a record of practical leadership focused on affordability, opportunity, public safety, and innovation. Thanks to Senator Maroney, Connecticut residents will have the right to know what information companies collect about them and to access and delete that information. Connecticut residents will also be able to opt out of the sale of their personal information and of online targeted advertising. Make no mistake - the passage of the bill was a monumental task that took hundreds of hours of Senator Maroney's time and an incredible dedication to working through a complex issue. Senator Maroney also worked across the aisle, gaining widespread support of Republican lawmakers. Connecticut citizens are lucky to have such a strong leader working for them.
